I do not have a general price list because each cake is one-of-a-kind. Most custom cakes are priced per person; smaller orders are priced per project. Because of the care I give to each order I must require a minimum charge on all of my cakes.

Regular whipped frosting, double layer sheet cakes start at $35 for 1/4 sheet, $50 for 1/2 sheet, $100 for full sheet.

Wedding and Artistic Cakes
Wedding and Artistic Cakes Pricing starts at $3.95 per serving up to $10 for very artistic cakes. The pricing tends to average from $4 to $6 per serving. Ultimately the price is based on the complexity of design, the flavor/filling/Icing of the cake, and the number of people being served.
All orders need to be paid in full at least a week in advance, unless other arrangements have been made. We happily accept:

Over the phone credit card charges are subject to 3% to 10% fee.
*CHASE Bank Checks are the only checks accepted and will need to be in at least two week prior to event or pickup, any returned checks will be subject to a $50 fee payable in cash only, plus any court fees and you order will be subject to cancellation.

1.- How much are your cakes?
Answer: All of our cakes are individually priced based on the complexity of their design. Given that our cakes are completely custom made, we do not have a standardized pricing list but do have a starting point pricing.
Wedding and tiered cakes start at $3.95 a serving. We find that most of our clients choose designs that start at about $4 to $8 per serving. There is a 30-serving minimum on wedding and tiered cakes and small cakes are priced as projects since it take the same amount of time and much more effort than a regular size cake.
Most 3D, sculptural cakes start at $200.
Simple sheet cakes are available at $35, $50 or $100 (About $2 per serving)
Emergency cakes are available at the bakery’s display case at around $9 to $40 each cake upon availability
Traditional cupcakes are $20 for the dozen
Traditional cake-pops are $20 for the dozen
We are happy to work within your event budget and encourage you to contact us for a design or tasting appointment so that we can discuss your cake order in person. We feel meeting with someone face-to-face and getting to know their ideas is the best way to plan a spectacular cake so please come by the bakery as we are open Monday –Friday from 7am to 7pm Saturdays are supper busy due to deliveries and pickups but we may be able to meet with you at the end of the day we are open from 9am to 7pm on Saturdays please call to make sure we are available on Saturdays (831)771-2253
2.- What’s your payment policy? Answer: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your order minimum of $25; for cakes over $200 the remainder is due at least one week prior to your event. Your order is not confirmed until we have received your signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit. Payment can be made by cash or credit card (Visa, AmEx, or MasterCard, and Discover). Cake orders placed with less than two weeks notice require payment in full at the time of ordering. Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel your order, your balance payment is refundable provided Main Street Bakery is notified at least thirty (30) business days prior to the event. There is no payment refund on orders canceled within thirty (30) business days of the event but a bakery credit would be issue if you cancel 7 days in advance if your order is less than $250.
3.- Do you deliver? Answer: Delivery is available for wedding cakes and cakes that require on-site assembly. Delivery fees are calculated by distance traveled and are roughly between $50 to $120 in Monterey County. While it is generally not a problem for clients to transport smaller cakes, self-transporting any cake is at your own risk. We do not recommend clients self-transport 3D/sculptural cakes, cakes over 2 tiers tall, or any cake more than 30 miles away and is not responsible for any damage that may occur to any client-transported cake once it has left our bakery. Any changes to the design of the cake would need to be requested at the time of pick up not after that.
4.- Do you offer free tasting? Answer: No, but I do offer free consultations (not tastings), during a free consultation I will meet with you for 15 to 30 minutes and go over pricing, design, and other options but remember that our cupcakes are always available for purchase at only $2 each or a 3 for $5, so you don’t need to schedule a tasting to be able to get a quote or taste our cakes.
5.- How much are cake tastings, and what do they entail? Answer: Our tastings are $25 and include a variety of 4 sample. A credit card is required to hold your tasting appointment. If the order is placed within one week the tasting fee and the cake totals $450+ then this fee is applied toward the order. If you should need to reschedule, or cancel, we ask that you contact us no later than 1 week in advance. During the meeting, we will discuss the design of your cake, so please bring any pictures, invitations etc., that may help us come up with something perfect for your event. The tasting lasts about 1 hour
